Here’s the facts about the role:
As a bricklayer multi, you’ll carry out a range of responsive repairs to our properties. This could include brickwork repairs, concrete repairs, fencing repairs, minor roofing works, disabled adaptations etc. You’ll work to a set schedule and strive to complete the jobs on time and to a high standard. This role will involve some light admin duties and the use of an electronic handheld device, used to update, complete and reschedule jobs and respond to emails. As you'll be in our Damp and Mould Team you'll also be carrying out cavity wall checks, damp and mould washes, and confidently applying anti-mould paint.

You’ll hold an NVQ level 2 in a skilled trade. And have proven experience of brickwork repairs and other repairs works. We’re happy to consider you if you’re ‘qualified by experience’. You’ll have good practical skills and be able to work with minimal supervision, and will be highly self-motivated to want to work hard and get the job done. You'll need to be confident carrying out damp and mould washes and paint, and have an understanding of damp and mould.

We do our best to make reasonable adjustments wherever possible. However, due to the nature of this position, the job holder must be capable of:

  • Working at heights
  • Manual handling and lifting heavy and bulky items
  • A high degree of mobility, which will include walking/lifting/loading and unloading vehicles

A full, clean current driving licence (held for at least 1 year) is needed so you can drive one of our vans when necessary. Offers are subject to satisfactory driving licence checks and basic DBS check.

Interviews and practical assessment are due to take place 20 November (subject to change).
