About Us

Established in 1994, Titchfield Group is one of the UK’s largest providers of both Out of Home advertising and commercial property refurbishment services, with offices in both Cuffley and Morecambe.

With over 30 years’ experience in the media, building and commercial sectors, our owners have created, developed, and delivered successful campaigns and projects. This covers a range of building services, including to large scale construction developments. Our company has a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy.

The Role

As a Abseiler (Rope Access Technician) you will be responsible for performing inspection, maintenance, installation, and repair work at height using rope access techniques. Perform various tasks to aid daily operations at our digital and construction sites. You will load and unload tools or raw materials as well as digital screens, assembling scaffolding This role requires advanced climbing and rigging skills, strict adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to work in challenging environments.

Duties include:

· Assist in the setup and dismantling of site equipment and structures.

· You will be responsible for loading or unloading construction materials.

· Manage the installation and removal of temporary structures, such as scaffolding.

· Assist with the maintenance of removing, filling or compacting earth.

· You must have the ability to work at height within a construction site or digital build.

· Erecting and posting large banners on scaffold frames.

· Operate machinery and equipment as required, following safety protocols.

· Report any safety hazards or incidents to the site supervisor.

· Maintain accurate records of daily activities, materials used, and any incidents that occur on-site.

· You will be responsible for the removal of advertising structures and ensure the site is maintained to high standard of service.

· Follow and adhere to instructions from supervisors and team leaders at all levels within the Company.

· Undertake regular onsite training or external training courses, in order to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.

· You will be responsible for preparing site clean-up at the end of each shift and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

· Assist other departments with ad-hoc duties, as and when required.

· This role will entail working evening and weekends.

· Perform rope access work using abseiling and climbing techniques in accordance with industry safety standards (e.g., IRATA or SPRAT guidelines).

· Conduct building façade inspections, window cleaning, painting, sealing, and minor structural repairs.

· Carry out maintenance and inspection tasks on industrial structures, towers, bridges, and confined spaces.

· Install signage, lighting, banners, and other fixtures at height.

· Complete risk assessments and job safety analyses before beginning work.

· Inspect and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and rope access gear.

· Maintain accurate job documentation and report any structural defects or hazards.

· Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and site personnel to ensure project completion within deadlines.

What is expected of you

· Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

· Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

· Ability to operate basic machinery and tools.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· The ability to perform manual labour.

· Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various on-site environments and challenges.

· Effective in managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

· Capable of identifying issues and proposing effective solutions on the job.
