THE ROLE
Our Driver/Depot Assistants are integral to our customer experience; working in a small team this role encompasses a variety of tasks, which include;
o PAT testing of electrical equipment – training will be provided
o Loading and unloading customer’s vehicles
o Delivering and collecting equipment around the region
o Assisting customers in the Depot and on the phone with hires and sales
o Keeping the yard in good order
o Washing off equipment
This is a customer focused role dealing with the Building Trade and General Public. Knowledge of plant and tools would be beneficial, however we do offer a variety of internal and external courses, where appropriate.
Driver/Depot Assistants must hold a driving licence and it would be beneficial if you are able to tow.
This position would suit a person of reasonable fitness who is capable of lifting and moving heavy equipment whilst adhering to Health & Safety limits.
There may be times when cover for holiday and sickness for the Depot Manager and at other Depots is required.
PARTICULARS
- Hours of Work: 7.30 am/5 pm Monday to Friday (alternate Saturday mornings 8 am/12 noon)
- Starting Salary: £26,984 per annum (Saturday mornings are paid at time and a half)
- Holidays: 20 days plus Bank Holidays
- Birthday Holiday: After the qualifying period
