Full job description
Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all areas of the hotel, working closely with the existing maintenance team to provide exceptional finish and work quality. Candidate will be competent in maintenance and ground work, with a minimum of 3 years experience.
The chosen applicant must be able to effectively handle their own timetable and operate independently without direct oversight of the maintenance manager.
Permanent contract based on a 27 hour working week, at £14.00 per hour.
Flexibility in shifts will be required, with one weekend day included per week. 9 hour shifts.
Use of own tools required.
Duties:
· Assist the current maintenance department in maintaining all areas of the hotel, including the spa and venue, working closely to provide services of a very high standard in accordance to the requirements of a 4 star hotel.
· Troubleshooting mechanical, plumbing, electrical and grounds issues as they arise.
· Assisting the groundsman in maintenance of the hotel grounds as necessary.
· Decorating and renovation of all hotel areas, including spa and wedding venue.
· Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and repair buildings and grounds.
