Are you a skilled, motivated Carpenter who takes pride in delivering outstanding workmanship? Do you enjoy transforming properties, tackling new challenges, and seeing a project come to life from start to finish?

Unity Build & Repair is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our growing projects team in Plymouth!

We specialise in renovating and managing multiple properties, with a strong commitment to creating high-quality homes. We're looking for someone who shares our passion for excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and getting the job done right the first time.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll play a key role in transforming properties and delivering high-quality renovations, including:

  • Kitchen and bathroom fitting
  • First and second fix carpentry – delivering precision and quality throughout every project.
  • Suspended ceilings – constructing and installing to a high standard.
  • Stud wall construction – building internal walls and installing internal wall insulation.
  • Doors and finishing woodwork – ensuring every detail looks professional.
  • General renovation work – bringing your skills and problem-solving abilities to a variety of projects.

You'll also help coordinate with other trades, manage materials and deliveries, maintain safe working practices, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a carpenter who takes pride in their trade and wants to be part of a team that values quality and professionalism.

You'll need:

  • At least 4 years' experience in carpentry and house renovations.
  • A recognised carpentry qualification or equivalent practical experience.
  • Your own vehicle, van and tools.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently, manage your workload and meet project deadlines.
  • A proactive attitude towards health and safety, organisation and working with other trades.
