Bookkeeper / Management Accountant

Tamworth (Office-based)

£33,000 – £37,000

The Opportunity

A fast-growing start-up accountancy firm in Tamworth is building a modernoutsourced finance function, embedding into clients’ businesses and acting as an extension of their internal finance teams.

They’re looking for a Bookkeeper / Management Accountant to join early in their journey - someone who wants to go beyond transactional work and be part of delivering a hands-on, tech-enabled finance service.

This role is ideal for someone in industry looking for more variety, or someone in practice/outsourcing wanting more client exposure.

The Role

  • Managing bookkeeping and day-to-day finance for a portfolio of clients
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Working directly with clients as part of their “embedded” finance function
  • Using cloud tools like Xero and Dext to streamline processes
  • Supporting automation and improving how finance is delivered
  • Ensuring high-quality, reliable financial data (MI)
  • Providing ad hoc finance and admin support where needed

What They’re Looking For

  • Experience in bookkeeping and/or management accounts (industry or practice)
  • Experience with Xero, Dext or similar cloud-based systems
  • Comfortable working closely with clients and building relationships
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of your work
  • Outgoing, personable, and easy to get on with
  • Flexible and proactive — willing to go the extra mile
  • AAT qualified or studying is beneficial, but not essential (open to QBE)
