Full job description

Following the successful award of several significant commercial contracts, we are investing heavily in our expansion plans ahead of a substantial increase in business volume from September.

As part of this growth, we're looking for an ambitious, resilient and highly motivated Service Delivery and/or Sales Consultant to join our team in our brand-new Beeston office.

This is not an account management role.

This is a role for someone who loves the challenge of winning new business, opening doors where no relationship currently exists, and creating opportunities through consistent effort, energy and determination.

If you're someone who thrives on the pursuit of new opportunities, enjoys the challenge of overcoming objections, and understands that success comes from discipline and persistence, we want to hear from you.

The Role

As a Service Delivery/Sales Consultant, your primary focus will be generating new business opportunities across a large territory within the education sector.

You'll be responsible for identifying prospective schools, building relationships with decision-makers and creating opportunities through a range of sales activities including telephone prospecting, email campaigns, networking and face-to-face meetings.

Unlike many business development roles, you'll be supported by dedicated Account Managers & Talent Acuisition who will help grow and develop client accounts once they're established. This allows you to focus your time and energy on what you do best – finding and winning new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities across a designated territory.
  • Prospect schools and education organisations with no prior relationship to Progress Teachers.
  • Conduct high-volume outbound sales activity via phone, email, LinkedIn and face-to-face meetings.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Arrange and attend client meetings to present our services and solutions.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to ensure smooth client onboarding and handover.
  • Develop territory plans and execute targeted business development campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline progression.
  • Consistently work towards individual and team growth targets.
  • Represent Progress Teachers professionally and positively within the education sector.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking a genuine hunter mentality.

Someone who understands that business development isn't always glamorous. Someone who can hear "no" multiple times a day and still pick up the phone with the same enthusiasm as their first call.

You will be:

  • Highly resilient and motivated by challenge.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-activity sales environment.
  • Energetic, self-disciplined and target-driven.
  • Confident building relationships from a standing start.
  • Persistent without being pushy.
  • Organised and capable of managing a large territory effectively.
  • Commercially minded with a genuine passion for winning new business.
  • A team player who works collaboratively with colleagues across sales, service delivery and recruitment.

Most importantly, you'll understand that Rome wasn't built in a day.

You'll appreciate that successful sales cycles require consistency, patience and repeated quality activity. You won't be discouraged by setbacks and you'll see every conversation as a step closer to success.

Experience

We would welcome applications from candidates with experience in:

  • Business Development
  • Field Sales
  • Recruitment
  • Education Recruitment
  • Account Acquisition
  • Territory Sales
  • B2B Sales
  • Customer Acquisition

Experience within education recruitment would be advantageous but is not essential.

What matters most is your attitude, resilience and ability to create opportunities where others see obstacles.

What We Offer

  • £30,000 - £37,000 base salary.
  • Performance bonus scheme.
  • Hybrid working model (3 days office / 2 days home).
  • Brand-new office environment in Beeston, Nottinghamshire with on-site Gym and Cafe.
  • Clear career progression opportunities.
  • Ongoing training and development.
  • A collaborative team culture with dedicated account management support.
  • The opportunity to play a key role in one of the region's fastest-growing education recruitment businesses.

Why Progress Teachers?

We're building something ambitious.

We're looking for individuals who want to be part of a high-performing team, contribute to significant growth plans and be rewarded for the value they create.

If you're driven by challenge, thrive on winning new business and want to be part of an exciting growth story, we'd love to hear from you.

Pay: £30,000.00-£37,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • On-site parking

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Beeston (Nottinghamshire, East Midlands Region)
