Full job description

Yeoman's Court, Hertford
This is a permanent, vacancy that will close in 12 days at 23:59 GMT.
The Vacancy

At SNG we’re focused on being a great landlord for our residents, and a great place to work for our colleagues.

This role is responsible for the management of a team of front-line Scheme Managers, responsible for flexi care, leasehold, and sheltered housing schemes in and around Hertford. It's a diverse and varied role, with responsibility for recruitment, coaching and supporting a team providing intensive housing management and support (in flexi care) to vulnerable residents. A key focus is providing high quality safe and attractive housing and services to people in later life.

You will be a housing professional with problem solving skills, and a flexible decisive approach to supporting your team, while ensuring the people who live in our schemes get a fabulous home in a vibrant community with a friendly effective service from our team of site-based managers.

You will be required to attend either the office at Yeomans or on site 2 days a week.

The Company

At Sovereign Network Homes we believe good homes make everything possible.

We're a charitable housing association managing over 21,000 homes predominantly across London and Hertfordshire. Our mission is to provide safe, secure and affordable homes for as many people as possible. Every penny of profit we make is reinvested to build more homes and deliver better services for residents. Sovereign Network Homes is a member of the G15 group of London’s largest housing associations.

We believe culture is everything and we work hard to create a positive, can-do, solution focussed environment so our 500+ colleagues can be their best. We have outstanding levels of engagement amongst our people. Our most recent staff survey showed over 85% of our employees feel proud to work for Sovereign Network Homes.

We’re dedicated to making sure that our workplace champions equality, diversity and inclusion. We’ve pledged to ensure our organisation reflects the diversity of our residents because we know this strengthens trust and allows us to provide better customer service. Sovereign Network Homes was a founding partner of Leadership 2025, an initiative to increase the ethnic diversity of housing’s leadership; and we hold Pledge Pioneer status for House Proud, a scheme designed to ensure Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer residents can enjoy their homes without fear of discrimination. We’re also dedicated to the wellbeing of employees with various initiatives and workshops including regular yoga and mindfulness sessions for those who wish to take part. We also have a dedicated group of mental health first aiders.

We support a blended approach to work, from home and in the office. We have a modern head office in Wembley Park, an area which is undergoing on of the most exciting transformations in London with Wembley Stadium, Boxpark and the London Designer Outlet right on the doorstep. Our Hertford office is in a grade II listed art deco building in the centre of town.

We’re driven by our social purpose, our residents at the heart of what we do. This is an exciting time to join a fledgling Sovereign Network Group (SNG) which aims to bring the best of our two predecessor housing associations, Network Homes and Sovereign which merged on 1 October 2023.
