Experienced General Builder (Full-Time – Self-Employed Initially)

Please note: This position is full-time and self-employed to begin with, with the opportunity to move into a permanent employed role for the right person as the business continues to grow.

We are a family-run building company with an excellent reputation for quality workmanship and customer service. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced General Builder to join our team on a long-term basis.

  • Kitchens and bathrooms
  • Roofing
  • Patios, driveways and hard landscaping
  • General building works

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a minimum of 5 years' building experience.
  • Is experienced across multiple aspects of the building trade.
  • Takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship.
  • Is reliable, punctual and has a positive attitude.
  • Works well as part of a team but is equally capable of working independently.
  • Owns their own tools.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence.
  • Is willing to support all aspects of the job and help other trades when required. While you'll have your own trade strengths, we're a family business where everyone works together, so you'll be expected to assist with general site duties and support the team wherever needed.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of general building work to a high standard.
  • Complete carpentry, brickwork, roofing, groundworks and general construction tasks.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Work from drawings and instructions where required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Work closely with the Site Manager and other team members to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
