Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Bricklayer/General Builder & Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse building projects, from residential to commercial developments. As a vital member of our crew, you will be involved in laying bricks, working with various masonry techniques, and knock throughs & supporting overall site operations. The ideal candidate will bring energy, precision, and a proactive attitude to every task, helping us deliver high-quality results on time and within scope.

Duties

  • Prepare construction sites by mixing mortar, and organizing materials
  • Lay bricks, blocks, and stones accurately following technical drawings and specifications
  • Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels to perform masonry tasks efficiently
  • Operate power tools including drills, saws, and grinders safely and effectively
  • Assist with carpentry tasks like framing, door/window fitting, and minor repairs as needed
  • Support roofing activities by installing shingles or tiles and ensuring proper sealing
  • Conduct site clean-up and ensure all safety protocols are followed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Digger and dumper experience
  • van/truck available with fuel card

Requirements

  • Proven experience in bricklaying, masonry work, or general building roles with a strong understanding of construction processes
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in masonry, carpentry, roofing, and welding tasks
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures on construction sites
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding manual work in various weather conditions
  • Basic welding skills are a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is appreciated
  • Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
  • Must be able to fit into my current team that I have built with good people skills

Bricklayer wage £190 per day 8am til 4:30pm one break.

Labourer wage £140 per day 8am til 4:30pm one break.
