Multi-Trade Operative - Planned Works

Sutton Coldfield – covering sites across The Midlands

£35,579 - £37,452 per year

40 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Planned Works team in Sutton Coldfield. As a Multi-Trade Operative, you will be working as part of a team with some lone working also required. These works are predominantly in domestic properties across Midlands and duties include carpentry, plumbing and general maintenance. Due to the nature of the role, a company van will be provided as well as power tools for you to complete jobs to a high standard.

The role of Planned works Multi-Trade Operative will include:

  • Carry out complete installation of kitchens and bathrooms to specification provided inclusive of tiling, vinyl flooring and decoration. Experience of wet room conversions is desired but not mandatory
  • Installation of windows and doors including the use of fixed and mobile access systems
  • Undertake cyclical works such as external decorations and roofline renewals
  • Ensuring vehicle and tools are kept in a clean serviceable condition
  • Maintaining a professional and respectable approach with our customers
  • Work efficiently and productively ensuring quality standards are met

Skills and experiences:

  • To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to priorities workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
