What's the role?

Are you organised, hands-on and someone who takes pride in getting things right? We’re looking for a Service Centre Operations Assistant to play an important part in keeping our Tool Service Centre running smoothly and ensuring our customers receive the fast, reliable service they expect from Hilti.
This role as an Operations Assistant is a fantastic opportunity to see how the Tool Service Centre works; it’s a great foundation role on which to build your long-term career at Hilti.

What You'll do

You’ll be at the heart of the day-to-day operation of our Tool Service Centre, supporting everything from the receipt and dispatch of tools AND stock to inventory processes, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) compliance and continuous improvement.

It’s a busy, practical role where attention to detail really matters. You’ll take ownership of your workload, work closely with colleagues across the business and look for smarter, more efficient ways of getting things done.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately receive and process tools arriving at the Service Centre for repair
  • Coordinate the efficient dispatch of repaired tools, stock and loan equipment using arrange of carriers
  • Complete goods receipt and put-away activities accurately and efficiently
  • Support stock management and help maintain accurate inventory records
  • Carry out WEEE-related activities in line with internal and external requirements
  • Use 5S and Lean principles to identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
  • Manage your own workload to support agreed service levels and turnaround times
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to improve processes and deliver a great customer experience

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a conscientious approach and a great eye for detail
  • Can organise and manage multiple processes efficiently
  • Takes ownership and uses their initiative rather than waiting to be asked
  • Sets high standards for themselves and takes pride in completing work accurately
  • Is comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning systems such as SAP
  • Communicates confidently and works well with different teams
  • Brings a positive, collaborative attitude and enjoys being part of a team
  • Is enthusiastic about continuous improvement and finding better ways of working
  • Is keen to learn, develop and act on feedback
Experience within a repair, service centre, warehouse, logistics or similarly operational environment would be highly beneficial, but just as important is your attitude and willingness to learn.

What’s In It for You

This is much more than an administration role. You’ll gain exposure to different parts of our service operation, build your understanding of how Hilti supports its customers and have opportunities to develop your skills and career.
You’ll join a supportive team where ideas for improvement are encouraged, people take ownership of what they do, and everyone plays a part in delivering an outstanding service.
If you’re someone who likes being busy, enjoys getting things organised and is always looking for ways to make things work a little better, we’d love to hear from you.
