Finisher / Clean & Seal – Kitchen & Bathroom Refurbishments

Location: Birmingham & surrounding areasJob Type: Full-timeSalary: Competitive, depending on experience

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Finisher / Clean & Seal Operative to join our kitchen and bathroom refurbishment team working across social housing properties in Birmingham and surrounding areas.

This is a hands-on role carrying out the final finishing, snagging, cleaning and sealing works before properties are handed back to the tenant and client.

You will be following on from the main trades, making sure each kitchen and bathroom is left clean, tidy, properly finished and ready for inspection.

Duties Will Include

  • Silicone and sealing around baths, shower trays, sinks, sanitaryware, worktops and splashbacks
  • Completing minor snagging and finishing works
  • Cleaning newly installed kitchens and bathrooms ready for handover
  • Removing excess silicone, grout, adhesive, dust and building residue
  • Touching up small areas of paintwork where required
  • Checking finished works for damage, defects or incomplete items
  • Reporting any outstanding issues to the Site Manager
  • Making sure properties are left clean and presentable
  • Keeping work areas tidy throughout the job
  • Working alongside kitchen fitters, plumbers, electricians, decorators and other trades
  • Following company Health & Safety procedures
  • Working respectfully and professionally within tenants’ homes

What We’re Looking For

You must:

  • Have previous experience in kitchen, bathroom or property refurbishment work
  • Be confident applying silicone and sealant neatly
  • Have a good eye for detail
  • Be able to complete minor snagging works
  • Be comfortable using basic hand and power tools
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Be able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Take pride in leaving jobs clean and properly finished
  • Be comfortable working in occupied social housing properties
  • Communicate professionally with tenants, site staff and other trades

Previous experience working on social housing kitchen and bathroom programmes is preferred.

The Right Person

We are looking for someone who notices the small things.

You will often be the last person working in the property before handover, so the standard of your work is important. You must be able to spot issues, finish them properly and leave the property clean and ready to be signed off.

This role would suit someone reliable, hands-on and particular about the quality of their work.

Pay: £160.00-£180.00 per day
