Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring the smooth operation of daily service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous restaurant or catering experience is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills in food service and guest relations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression
  • Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
  • Provide attentive guest service, addressing any enquiries or special requests promptly and courteously
  • Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Assist in basic food preparation tasks as required, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, including processing payments and giving change
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts and support a positive work environment

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn is key
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills with an approachable manner suitable for guest interaction
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions confidently
  • Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience in serving or culinary roles, including kitchen experience or culinary training, is beneficial
  • Organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
