Full job description

We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Administrator to join our growing team. Working closely with our Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in delivering targeted marketing campaigns and identifying new business opportunities.

The right person will be proactive and tenacious in their efforts to research new sectors – reaching out to companies to identify key decision makers, procurement trends and requirements, whilst promoting our products and services.

Based at our Head Office in South Shields (NE33), you will work closely with our Depot Managers and Technical Sales Teams across the UK, ensuring regional teams are equipped with the information needed to convert prospects into customers.

SMH Products is a global manufacturer of decontamination equipment and leading supplier of personal protective products. This role will support our Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) division, which has recently grown due to the products and services we provide being unparalleled in the UK.

Industry experience is not essential as full training and ongoing support will be provided.

We are looking for someone who is motivated, focused, and driven to succeed as this role offers opportunities to grow within the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted outbound marketing campaigns to generate interest in our products and services
  • Research new sectors and identify potential customers to support business growth
  • Conduct outbound calls to potential customers from supplied data – using effective communication skills to ascertain the customer’s requirements and create awareness of our offering
  • Gather information about the customer needs, budget, procurement processes and decision-making structures to assist regional Sales Teams
  • Keep accurate records of customer interactions and outcomes in the CRM system
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of our products, services, industry legislation and best practice
  • Clearly communicate the features, benefits and value of our products and services
  • Create and maintain accurate product listings across e-commerce and online marketplaces
