Decommissioning Manager
Full time, Permanent (Hybrid 40/60)

We are looking for a Decommissioning Managerto join our Energy Operations team at Offshore Energies UK (OEUK).
This is an exciting opportunity to lead OEUK’s decommissioning agenda and help position the UK as a global centre of excellence in responsible, cost-effective decommissioning.
As Decommissioning Manager, you will manage OEUK’s decommissioning function, lead strategic policy engagement and support collaboration across industry, regulators and government. You will help ensure decommissioning across the UKCS is delivered safely, compliantly and innovatively, in line with wider energy transition goals.
Working collaboratively across OEUK and with external partners, you will help maintain OEUK’s position as a trusted voice for insight, leadership and practical solutions across the sector
Key Accountabilities
Strategic leadership and policy
- Lead OEUK’s decommissioning function, setting direction and driving delivery of the organisation’s decommissioning agenda.
- Build and maintain high-quality relationships with key stakeholders across industry, regulators and government.
- Lead the delivery of OEUK’s decommissioning events, ensuring they provide insight, influence and value for members.
- Support the competitiveness and sustainability of the UK decommissioning supply chain.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and people management capability, inspiring and guiding the decommissioning team
Knowledge and experience
- Strong experience in the UK oil and gas or offshore energy sector, with significant exposure to decommissioning.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies, such as NSTA, OPRED and HSE, and a sound understanding of UKCS compliance frameworks.
- A track record of leading cross-industry initiatives, managing stakeholder groups and delivering strategic outcomes.
- Confidence in public speaking, media engagement and representing the industry in external forums.
Subject matter expertise
- Extensive technical expertise in late-life operations and decommissioning across UK oil and gas and offshore wind projects.
- Deep understanding of UKCS decommissioning practices, regulatory obligations and industry standards.
- Rounded knowledge of the UK energy landscape, particularly the oil and gas sector and its transition to net zero.
- Familiarity with cross-sector decommissioning, including nuclear and offshore wind, and with principles of re-use, circular economy and carbon-efficient decommissioning.

- Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, from technical specialists to senior leaders.
