Full job description

A fantastic opportunity to become part of one of Gloucester's best known businesses. Over Farm has been part of Gloucester's history for decades and has rapidly grown it's farm park to welcome customers of all ages!

We are looking for someone dynamic, organised and with management experience to take the farm park to the next level.

You will be involved in managing the site day to day, working alongside the other managers in the business to put on our well-known events throughout the year, and bringing your own ideas on board to make each one bigger and better.

Your main duties will be to:

  • Organise and deliver high quality family events, organising the event from start to finish, alongside the onsite team
  • Manage the casual teams you need for each event, working with HR to recruit new starters
  • Maintain a high level of H&S compliance throughout the site, collaborating with the Operations Director and People Manager
  • Form strong relationships with the wider team to deliver to events to budget
  • Create a fun and productive environment to encourage customer engagement and return visitors

What do you need to bring to the table?

  • Management experience - understanding the pinch points and demands of events, casual staff and seasonal working
  • Desire to build relationships with the team - we work with a lot of different teams and need someone who is able to communicate excellently
  • Knowledge of financial budgets, managing costs and maximising profits
  • Understanding of infrastructure needed to support large numbers of staff and customers across a wide site
  • Commitment to uphold high H&S regulations and animal welfare
