Full job description

We’re looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Café Cook to join our friendly team.

This is a daytime role preparing and serving high quality breakfasts, lunches and daily specials in a busy café. We take pride in using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and delivering excellent food alongside friendly customer service.

The role includes:

  • Preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen
  • Managing stock and reducing waste
  • Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures
  • Working closely with the front of house team to provide excellent customer service
  • Helping develop new menu ideas and daily specials

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous cooking experience in a café, pub or similar kitchen
  • Takes pride in producing quality food
  • Is reliable and turns up when they say they will
  • Works well under pressure
  • Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a small team
  • Holds a Food Hygiene Certificate, or is willing to obtain one
