CAD Designer / Design & Administration Support

Spa Design & Build Limited specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke swimming pools, spas and wellness facilities for residential and commercial projects.

The Person We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced CAD Designer / Design & Administration Support to join our Projects Team.

This is a varied role combining CAD design, project administration and procurement support, so we are looking for someone who is technically capable, organised and comfortable supporting the wider project function.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Projects and the wider design, manufacturing and installation teams to ensure drawings, project information and procurement requirements are accurate, organised and kept up to date.

This is not a purely CAD-based position. Design and drawing production are an important part of the role, but it also includes project administration, procurement, document control and communication with suppliers, clients and the internal team.

You will therefore need to be comfortable moving between drawing work and the administrative and procurement requirements needed to keep projects progressing.

AutoCAD experience is essential. SolidWorks experience would be beneficial but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

· Produce accurate CAD drawings using AutoCAD in accordance with project requirements and design information.

· Prepare and update layouts, technical drawings and drawings required to support manufacture and installation.

· Carry out drawing revisions following agreed design changes, client comments and project requirements.

· Maintain accurate drawing files, revisions and associated project documentation.

· Assist with the preparation and coordination of finishes and specification information.

· Support the Projects Team with project administration and maintaining accurate project records.

· Assist with quotations and pricing administration where required.

· Support procurement, including obtaining supplier quotations, raising purchase orders and coordinating material requirements.

· Monitor orders and liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and delivery dates.

· Follow up outstanding information, approvals and deliveries to help keep projects progressing.

· Liaise with clients and suppliers regarding drawings, finishes, orders and routine project information as required.

· Work closely with the Head of Projects, designers, manufacturing and installation teams to ensure the correct information is available when required.

· Maintain accurate information within Company systems, project files and records.

· Assist with the preparation and collation of project handover documentation and O&M information where required.

· Provide general design and administrative support to the Projects Team.

Skills & Experience

· Minimum 2 years’ experience using AutoCAD in a working environment – essential.

· Good technical drawing skills.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Strong organisational and administrative skills.

· Ability to manage workload, priorities and deadlines.

· Confident communication skills when dealing with clients, suppliers and colleagues.

· Good general IT skills.

· Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a wider team.

Desirable

· SolidWorks experience.

· Experience producing drawings for manufacture or installation.

· Experience within construction, manufacturing, interiors, engineering or a similar technical environment.

· Experience with procurement, purchasing or supplier coordination.

· Experience maintaining drawing registers and revision control.

· Experience using ERP, project management or similar business systems.

What We Offer

· Salary of £35,000 per annum.

· Full-time, permanent employment.

· Training and development opportunities.

· Opportunity to develop within the design and projects team.

· Company pension.

· Free on-site parking.

· Company uniform
