RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
· Translate customer requirements for staircases, handrails, barriers, balustrades, ladders, and walkways into practical, manufacturable design solutions using modular systems
· Produce 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings, and installation layouts
· Design and develop structurally sound solutions based on modular design systems
· Support projects from initial concept through to manufacturing and delivery
· Generate clear installation instructions and technical documentation
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
· Create high-quality 2D and 3D CAD models and engineering drawings aligned with project timelines
· Apply engineering judgement and problem-solving skills to generate efficient and buildable layouts
· Integrate structural considerations into all designs, ensuring durability and compliance with relevant standards
· Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Project Teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
· Manage drawing workflows and priorities to meet deadlines
· Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, controlled, and up to date
· Liaise with suppliers regarding technical specifications, materials, and manufacturing processes
· Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) across design systems
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and optimisation of design processes
· Participation in departmental continual improvement projects
KEY ATTRIBUTES
· Strong self-motivation and proactive mindset, with the ability to manage your own workload
· Experience in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred or similar)
· Experience in 2D drafting (AutoCAD or equivalent)
· Experience producing and interpreting a wide range of technical drawings and specifications
· Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials
· Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with clients
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
