Full job description

Castleton Commodities International is hiring an Associate, Compliance Analyst based in London. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to the compliance function supporting both physical and financial commodities trading, as well as commodity asset investing, at a leading global commodity merchant. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation and continued development of CCI’s global compliance program, with a primary focus on Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Support compliance monitoring and reporting activities.

  • Help maintain and enhance compliance dashboards, reports, data checks and workflow tools using technologies such as Phyton, SQL, Power BI and Excel.

  • Support the broader Legal & Compliance department with daily tasks, regulatory analysis, data requests, audits and ad-hoc projects.

  • Collaborate with trading, operations, technology, risk and other internal stakeholders to gather information, resolve queries, support compliance objectives and facilitate the compliant expansion of trading and investing activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field of study.

  • Interest in commodities markets and an understanding of the role of the compliance function.

  • Technical aptitude, with proficiency or strong interest in Python, SQL, Power BI, Advanced MS Excel, etc.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, exceptions, and potential risks.

  • Attention to detail and an ability to execute on projects in a timely manner.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-intensity environment with timely responsiveness and flexibility to work beyond normal business hours when required.
