The role:
As an Auto Electrician / Installation Engineer with RS Connect you will have the opportunity to work alongside a fantastic team of individuals on many different vehicle types. From your standard car, light commercial and heavy goods to high performance supercars, bikes, public transport, emergency services, plant and agricultural machinery, every day is different.
About you:
We are looking for positive, driven individuals, able to work on their own or in small teams. Capable of managing their daily workload, representing the RS Connect brand through high quality workmanship and confident when engaging with our customers.
Previous experience in auto electrics and after-market installations is essential. Experience in any of the following sectors is desired:
· Telematics, GPS and vehicle tracking
· Vehicle security, alarms and immobilisation
· Cameras – front and rear dash cams, fatigue monitoring, AI, 360, multi-camera CCTV systems, reverse cameras, DVR recorders.
· Vehicle safety and warning kits – FORS compliance, beacons, lighting
· Public transport – communications equipment, ticketing machines, on-board WiFi.
· Plant and aggricultural machinery tracking and immobilisation
· Emergency services – blue light installations, conversions, ANPR systems.
The Salary:
Our employees are banded by their experience and skillset. The more you can do, the more you can earn.
40-hour and 45-hour contract options.
£25k-£36k basic salary depending on experience
Non-standard shift pattern options including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Overtime paid after your standard hours plus time and a half for weekends. Shift bonus paid for evenings and nightwork Bonus and expenses for those willing to work away with opportunities to work across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
