Access Control Engineer

DataScope is a leading provider of Access Control and CCTV systems, primarily working with clients in the construction industry. Due to continued business growth, we are now seeking to recruit additional field engineers with a background in Access Control and CCTV to work on sites at various locations around the UK. Candidates will ideally live within or around the Chester area with ease of access to our Chester Office.

For the right person, there is an opportunity to develop their role as the business continues to expand, so a positive ‘can do attitude’ and the ability to use your own initiative are essential. Ability to work away extensively and at short notice is essential. Travel to European countries for work is also essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of Access Control & CCTV on live construction projects across the UK
  • Faults Diagnosis, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of our product line
  • This consists of our I.T based products, control modules, handheld devices, biometric recognition devices and turnstiles
  • Providing technical support for customers
  • Ability to work away and travel abroad

---------------------------------------------Required Skills:

  • Experienced in the installation, configuration and maintenance of Access Control and CCTV systems
  • Basic IT skills
  • UK Driving License

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of wireless and GSM / 4G Networking
  • Electrical/Electronics knowledge
  • Experience working in an industrial environment
  • Fault finding
  • Use of diagnostic tools for IP networking
  • ECS qualification
  • Must be quality focused and have good attention to detail

We provide a range of data collection and analytical systems and apps primarily for the construction industry but also now including wider sectors such as logistics, aviation, shopping centres, rail, highways and data centres working on major projects for a range of the industry’s biggest players.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: £21,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
