Location: Office location Poole (covering the south)
Job Type: Full-Time
SELF EMPLOYED POSITION
Expected Income: £500 - £5,000 per week
Driving License Required: Yes
EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Drainage Engineer to join our team, specialising in drain unblocking call-outs and repairs. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in diagnosing and resolving drainage issues, including the unblocking, repair, and maintenance of drainage systems. You will work across both residential and commercial properties, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to drainage call-outs for emergency unblocking and repairs.
Inspect and assess drainage issues, providing effective solutions on-site.
Perform drain repairs, installations, and maintenance on both internal and external drainage systems.
Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment, CCTV drain survey tools, and other specialist equipment.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
Liaise with clients to provide clear updates and recommendations.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience in drainage engineering, particularly in unblocking and repairs (this is a must).
Full, clean UK driving license (or equivalent).
Experience using drain inspection technology and equipment (CCTV surveys, high-pressure jetting, etc.).
Ability to work independently and solve problems under pressure.
Strong communication skills and a professional demeanour when dealing with customers.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in drainage and construction works.
Desirable:
NVQ or equivalent certification in drainage engineering or plumbing (preferred but not required).
Confined space training and certification.
