CCTV Technician

Job Type: Full-time

Location: United Kingdom

Working Hours: 8 hours per day

Start Date: Immediate start available

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced CCTV Technician to join our team in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting CCTV and surveillance systems across various sites.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience with CCTV installations, IP cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and structured cabling. We are looking for someone reliable, technically skilled, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

- Install and configure CCTV cameras and surveillance systems.

- Install, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and coaxial cabling.

- Configure IP cameras, DVRs, and NVR recording systems.

- Set up remote viewing and monitoring applications.

- Diagnose and resolve CCTV equipment faults and connectivity issues.

- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

- Test installed equipment to ensure systems operate correctly.

- Install and configure network switches and related equipment where required.

- Follow health and safety procedures when working on-site.

- Maintain installation records and report completed work to the relevant supervisor.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a CCTV Technician or in a similar role.

- Practical knowledge of CCTV installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

- Experience with IP cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and surveillance systems.

- Basic knowledge of networking and structured cabling.

- Ability to use tools and testing equipment safely.

- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

- A valid CSCS card is required where applicable for construction-site work.

- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications are desirable.

Working Hours

- 8 working hours per day.

- Full-time position.

- Work at various sites depending on project requirements.

- Immediate start available for suitable candidates.
