Mac Systems Ltd. is a well-established, family-run business with over 30 years’ experience, based in Wellingborough, serving Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas. Due to increasing demand for our services, we are looking to expand our team by hiring an experienced installation engineer.

We specialise in the supply and installation of a wide range of automated gate systems for both industrial and domestic use, including swing gates, sliding gates, pedestrian gates, barriers, turnstiles etc. In addition, we also install access control solutions such as CCTV, intercoms, and much more. “This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company with a strong reputation for quality and reliability.”

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission a range of products and equipment according to technical specifications.
  • Use power and hand tools efficiently to complete installations.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while working on-site.
  • Test installed systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Deliver excellent customer service throughout the installation process.
  • Diagnose and resolve any issues that arise during installations and otherwise.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an installation engineer.
  • Excellent fault-finding ability.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using power tools.
  • Experience with installation techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues.
  • You will be required to participate in a call-out rota.
  • Provision of own tools, although specialized tools are provided.
  • A valid full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to pass a DBS check and necessary security checks.

Pay:

Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience.
