Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive, experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Liverpool.

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting intruder alarms, fire alarm systems, CCTV, and access control systems across various sites within the North West.

Your expertise will ensure the safety and security of our clients facilities by conducting routine inspections, and performing repairs to both Fire and Security Systems.

Duties

  • Install, commission, and service security systems including fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarm systems and access control.
  • Conduct routine inspections in accordance with NSI Gold and BAFE standards.
  • Troubleshoot faults and repair or replace faulty components efficiently.
  • Maintain records of systems, maintenance activities, and fault reports for compliance and future reference.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and advancements to fire and security systems / CCTV to continuously improve service quality.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and associated security systems.
  • Relevant manufacturer knowledge (e.g. Advanced, Gent, Notifier, Honeywell, Texecom, Galaxy, Hikvision, Paxton, or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant UK standards and regulations, including BS 5839, PD6662, BAFE and applicable security industry standards.
  • Experience in the installation, commissioning, servicing, fault-finding, and maintenance of fire and security systems.
  • A valid full UK driving licence is required.
  • An enhanced DBS check and BS 7858 security screening is required.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
