Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic CCTV & Alarm Engineer to join our team and drive the delivery of high-quality security solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CCTV surveillance systems and alarm systems across various sites. Your expertise will ensure our clients’ safety and security are always optimized through cutting-edge technology and meticulous system design.
The shift pattern for the role will be predominately Monday - Friday between the hours of 09:00 - 17:30 with a 1 hour break for lunch, however due to the nature of the role, work outside of these hours may be required when necessary.
Applicants must have their own vehicle and a full UK driving licence, as travel to customer sites is a key part of the role. Business mileage will be reimbursed.
Working away will be required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain a variety of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
- Conduct site assessments to determine security system requirements and provide recommendations.
- Communicate with clients to understand their security needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to security systems in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations during installations and maintenance.
- Provide training and support to clients on the proper use of security systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and service calls.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in security technology.
- Travel to various national sites as required, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the company.
Skills
- Proven experience as a CCTV, Intruder Alarm or Security Systems Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems.
- Relevant industry qualifications and certifications preferred.
- Competent in fault finding, maintenance and repair of security systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites nationwide.
- Own vehicle required, with business mileage reimbursed.
- Good understanding of industry standards, regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive approach to learning and keeping up to date with industry developments.
- Proof of right to work in the UK.
- Valid public liability insurance.
- Ability to successfully pass BS7858 screening.
- Calibration records for any applicable test equipment.
- Willingness to participate in quality assurance audits and compliance checks.

Work Location: On the road
