That is what the team at Epitome Living strive for every day. We combine proven, dependable systems with the latest technology for reliability as well as high performance in our installations.

This includes smart lighting and heating control, audio/visual systems, whole-house WiFi and wired networking as well as high-end solutions for shading, access control and security. We deploy these technologies in residential and small commercial environments.

We also install and look after many AV systems, mostly in small commercial settings including board rooms & conference centres.

An area of growth for us recently has been in Home Cinema - these projects bring together our team's skills in building automation and AV, along with the latest industry recommended practices.

Job description


Install and configure various parts of a smart home control system. This includes control of lighting & heating, installation of/control of security & access control, installation and configuration of multi-room audio, video distribution.

This role will also involve varying elements of audio-visual systems and home cinema installation.

Applicants should expect to occasionally work outside normal hours when required, especially close to project deadlines. We are based in the Craigavon area and the role will include travel across Northern Ireland and, on occasions, the Republic of Ireland.

Full-time. Typically, 8 hours per day between the hours of 7:30 am - 5:30 pm, Monday - Friday (40 hours per week).


Negotiable and largely based on experience and training required. Will be in the region of £25k-£38k.


  • To work on some of the most exciting smart home and AV projects in Northern Ireland, and sometimes further afield
  • On-going training is provided for staff as required. Those who are less experienced will initially be sent on training courses in England.
  • If applying for a more senior role, a shiny, fresh van will be provided
  • An iPhone will be provided if taking on a responsibility of service and maintenance
  • Other tools and IT equipment will be provided as required for the role
  • Contributions to your pension scheme


  • Ability to use initiative to problem-solve systems
  • Get the job done in a super-tidy manner and be at the top of your game with all things practical, while always keeping project delivery deadlines in mind
  • Ability to learn “on the job” when required - we use new technology and the industry is ever-growing
  • Relevant experience in at least one of the below:
  • Lighting and/or heating control systems
  • Building management systems
  • Motorised blinds
  • Installing and configuring professional wired/WiFi networking equipment
  • Access control
  • Audio/video installations


  • Experience in many of the above areas
  • Driving Licence
  • Access to car/van (transport/vehicle will usually be provided, but occasionally you may be required to travel by yourself)
  • CEDIA qualifications
  • Electrical qualification


  • BMS Installer
  • Qualified electrician wanting to diversify out of normal domestic or commercial installations
  • Audiovisual engineer, particularly with network experience
  • Those with practical electrical/mechanical engineering background
  • Installers from the following industries wanting to diversify:
  • IT/network engineers
  • Security/fire alarms
  • CCTV
  • Access control
  • Door/gate automation
