IT and AV Installation Engineer

Drift IT Services is looking for an IT & AV Installation Engineer to join our growing Build Projects Team, delivering technology installations into newly built and refurbished schools across the UK.

Working under the direction of our Project Delivery Engineer, you will install and commission interactive displays, wireless infrastructure, classroom AV equipment and associated IT systems on education construction projects nationwide.

This is a hands-on role requiring regular travel and overnight stays throughout the UK and would suit someone with experience in AV, telecoms, structured cabling, networking, CCTV or similar installation environments.

What You'll Be Doing

· Install Interactive Panels, SMART Boards and classroom display technologies.

· Install televisions, digital signage and associated AV equipment.

· Install wireless access points and associated mounting systems.

· Install network-connected devices and supporting infrastructure.

· Assist with structured cabling and containment installations where required.

· Complete installation works in accordance with project specifications, installation drawings and scope of works.

· Complete decant/recant works in accordance with project specifications.

· Carry out equipment testing and basic commissioning activities.

· Identify and report installation issues, defects or project variations to the Project Delivery Engineer.

· Complete project works within agreed timescales whilst maintaining quality standards.

· Assist with project handovers and User Acceptance Testing where required.

· Maintain company tools, vehicles and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.

· Load, transport and unload equipment safely and responsibly.

· Supporting Project Delivery Engineers with successful project completion.

What We're Looking For

Essential

· Previous experience installing AV, IT, CCTV or similar.

· ECS Card.

· Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.

· Full UK Driving Licence.

· Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away from home during the working week.

· Ability to work safely at height and use access equipment.

· Ability to obtain and maintain an Enhanced DBS certificate.

· Professional attitude and strong work ethic.

· Strong communication skills and ability to represent the Company professionally on customer sites

Desirable

· SSSTS qualification.

· IPAF.

· PASMA.

· Experience installing SMART Boards or interactive displays.

· Structured cabling experience.

· Basic networking knowledge.

· Experience within education environments.

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
