Job Overview

As a CCTV Installer, you’ll install, configure and maintain CCTV systems at customer sites, both residential and commercial. You’ll work with equipment, cabling and installation plans, checking that each system operates reliably and meets the site’s requirements. The role will also include some AV installation (speakers/TV's etc) and data cabling such as running in cabling for wireless access points etc.

Responsibilities

  • Install and connect cameras, recording equipment and related hardware using hand tools and power tools, often at height.
  • Route and terminate cabling in a safely and tidily
  • Configure systems, test image quality and connectivity, and resolve faults in equipment or network connections.
  • Explain system operation to customers and record completed work and any follow-up needs.

Skills

Required: Prior experience of installing CCTV systems (both analogue and IP) and running cabling, confidence using hand tools and power tools, computer networking experience and comfortable working at height. A full UK driving license is essential

Pay: £26,500.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Portsmouth PO1 1NR
