Full job description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CCTV Drainage Engineer to join our growing team. The applicant would be servicing our groundworks sites in Sussex/Surrey/Kent, so must be willing to travel.

This role is critical in identifying and resolving drainage issues through the use of CCTV survey equipment, delivering accurate diagnostics, and supporting long-term maintenance and repair solutions.

The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct CCTV surveys of drainage systems using specialist camera equipment.
  • No dig patch repair and lining
  • Diagnose and identify drainage issues including blockages, leaks, root ingress, and structural defects.
  • Create detailed, accurate reports using industry-standard software (e.g. WinCan).
  • Operate High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ) equipment.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Communicate findings clearly to clients, offering professional advice and recommendations for remedial action.
  • Assist with tracing pipework and mapping drainage layouts.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working as a CCTV Drainage Engineer.
  • Full, valid UK Driving Licence (any endorsements must be declared before a licence check).
  • Proficient in using CCTV drainage survey software, such as WinCan.
  • Hands-on experience with HPWJ.
  • Strong understanding of drainage systems and ability to trace and identify pipework routes.
  • Reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic with a proactive attitude to work.

Desirable Attributes

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Confined Space Entry, Water Jetting Association (WJA) accreditation). OSX19
  • Experience working on both domestic and commercial drainage systems.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and travel, when required.
