Full job description

Argus fire and security are looking to expand our ever growing team with the addition of another Fire and Security Installation Engineer.

We are currently seeking a skilled Installation Engineer to join our team in providing a high standard of installation on fire and security systems to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background knowledge of the various fire and security systems on the market, experience in managing larger scale installations from start to finish and knowledge of the relevant regulations and codes of practice to ensure a compliant installation.

Responsibilities:
- Carry out first and second fix work across a range of systems including Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarms. Knowledge of the relevant standards and codes of practice will be required in order to ensure the installations are fully compliant.
- Commissioning of newly installed systems and carry out hand over and full demonstration to the client.
- Completion of all necessary paperwork in line with the relevant standards and codes of practice.

- To perform fault finding and rectification on security systems. Work closely with team members to solve issues.
- Collaborate with the engineering and management team to ensure profitable workflow.
- Adhere to company health and safety.
- Be part of an out of hours callout rota (currently 1 day in every 8) - (This is optional)

Required experience:

- Minimum of 5 years experience working on installation of fire alarms in both the domestic and commercial sectors.
- Minimum 5 years proven experience as an Installation Engineer on Intruder/CCTV/door access or similar role. (This is preferred, but not essential)
- Good knowledge of all aspects of the fire and security industry and the relevant standards and codes of practice.
- Customer oriented approach with good communication skills- Planning and problem solving skills
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team
