CCTV Engineer - Multiple roles across NI
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CCTV Engineer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer hardware, electrical systems, and computer networking, with a focus on the installation and maintenance of CCTV systems. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure the effective operation of surveillance equipment.
Duties
- Build and install CCTV systems according to specifications and schematics.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues with existing CCTV installations.
- Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to integrate CCTV systems with other security measures such as Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
- Utilise power tools and equipment safely while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation of CCTV systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CCTV technology.
Requirements
- Proven experience in computer hardware, electrical systems, and computer networking.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV technology and installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to electrical and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with telecommunication systems is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is preferred.
- Proficiency in using power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
