Job Title: Gate Engineer

Location: Cheshire

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Due to growing demand, we are looking for an experienced and skilled Gate Engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities: Installation: Carry out the installation of automated gates, barriers, and access control systems for both residential and commercial clients. Maintenance & Repairs: Perform regular servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs of gate systems, ensuring they are in excellent working condition and comply with safety standards. Fault Diagnosis: Identify and resolve issues with electric, hydraulic, and mechanical gate systems efficiently. Customer Support: Provide professional advice and support to clients on system operations, upgrades, and maintenance requirements. Compliance: Ensure all installations and repairs comply with industry regulations, health and safety guidelines, and manufacturers' specifications. Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including job reports, risk assessments, and installation certifications. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the project team, suppliers, and clients to ensure project success and customer satisfaction. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience as a Gate Engineer or within a similar role in automated gate or access control systems. Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including automation, motors, and control panels. Familiarity with safety standards related to gate automation (e.g., BS EN 12453) and relevant regulations. Ability to read technical drawings and install systems accordingly. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Full driving license. Desirable Qualifications: Electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).Knowledge of welding and fabrication would be advantageous.
