Overview
We are seeking a dedicated CDP to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and possess a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills within a professional kitchen environment, contributing to delivering high-quality dishes to our valued guests. The successful applicant will be committed to maintaining food safety standards and working efficiently under pressure.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes serving our deli counter, dining terrace and our retail offering, according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in the organisation and mise en place of ingredients for service
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations throughout shifts
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
  • Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
  • Support with inventory management and stock rotation as required
  • Follow all food safety procedures diligently, including proper storage and handling of ingredients

Experience

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or catering setting
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices
  • Experience in meal preparation and plating presentation is advantageous
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Serving experience is beneficial but not essential; willingness to learn on the job is important
