At Radar Healthcare, we are all proud of our values-led, open, supportive and inclusive culture. It's just as important that anyone joining our friendly team share the same values as us, to ensure we're all on the same page from day one, so we're looking for people who feel aligned to the following:
Customer focused with a partnership approach
Open, honest and transparent
Innovative
Ethical, trustworthy and caring

The Opportunity
Radar Healthcare's new Head of Engineering
The Head of Engineering is a senior technical leadership role responsible for driving delivery excellence, engineering quality, and modern ways of working across all Radar delivery teams. This role has a strong emphasis on hands-on technical leadership, SDLC modernisation, and cross-team productivity improvement. The Head of Engineering will lead all Tech Leads (who report directly into this role) and act as a key bridge between Product, Platform, and Engineering to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery at scale. This is not a purely managerial role — it requires strong hands-on technical capability, with the ability to own and influence design, architecture, and engineering practices directly, building on an established modernisation foundation and accelerating progress through consistent oversight and action.
What you’ll be doing to make a difference:
Engineering Leadership & Delivery
-
Lead and manage all Tech Leads across Radar delivery teams
-
Establish clear, consistent engineering standards across teams
-
Drive predictable, high-quality delivery outcomes across the SDLC
-
Ensure alignment between Product, Delivery, and Engineering priorities
Technical Leadership (Hands-On)
-
Act as a senior technical authority across backend, frontend, and architecture
-
Lead design reviews, architecture critiques, and technical decision-making
-
Work closely with Product Owners and Tech Leads to break down initiatives into well-structured, deliverable work
-
Prototype and validate new technical approaches where appropriate
-
Maintain a strong understanding of system design and code quality across teams
SDLC Modernisation
-
Lead the transformation of engineering ways of working across CI/CD, testing, release processes and observability
-
Drive adoption of AI-first approaches to software development
-
Identify bottlenecks and improve flow, quality, and speed
Your journey so far...
-
Experience leading Tech Leads
-
Experience with .NET, React, SQL Server (or similar)
-
Strong hands-on web stack experience
-
Cloud native architecture (ideally Azure)
-
Modern SDLC practices
Even better if you…
-
Experience integrating acquired teams
-
Experience working with delivery partners
