Bagels by Soho , a vibrant Bagel Café open from 8am - 4pm daily and now open in Southbourne also. We are dedicated to providing an exceptional experience, from our fresh bagels with the highest quality ingredients to our local coffee and speciality drinks

Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Bagels by Soho. With a combined location of Both branches Bournemouth and our new location in Southbourne. We are offering approximately 30 hours per week In this role, you will support our culinary staff in food preparation and bagel production, ensuring that our high standards of quality and safety are met.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the head chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
  • Ensure all food safety standards are maintained in the kitchen.
  • Help in the production of high-quality dishes according to menu specifications.
  • Supervise junior kitchen staff and assist with training as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Requirements

  • Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably as a cook or assistant chef.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food preparation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork abilities.
