Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Cafe Assistant/Cook to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional food and service experiences to our customers. Your enthusiasm for food preparation, culinary skills, and commitment to food safety will help create a welcoming environment where guests feel valued and satisfied. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble a variety of menu items with precision and care, ensuring quality standards are met consistently
  • Cook meals according to established recipes and presentation guidelines, maintaining efficiency during busy periods
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Serve customers promptly and courteously, providing excellent customer service that enhances their experience
  • Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels, rotating supplies, and notifying management of shortages or expired items
  • Support the team in setting up dining areas, clearing tables, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
  • Follow all safety procedures during food handling, cooking, and cleaning processes to prevent accidents or contamination

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations within a restaurant or cafe environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills for serving customers and collaborating with team members
  • Basic culinary skills with familiarity in meal preparation techniques
  • Prior experience with food handling equipment and kitchen tools is preferred
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn new skills in a team-oriented environment

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
