Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cafe assisiant to oversee all aspects of catering operations within our cafe which is located inside Adventureland, New Brighton.

Adventureland is open everyday during school holidays, every weekend (Saturday & Sunday) and we also open for for childrens parties in the evenings. The successful candidate must be willing to work flexible hours.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating food services for children parties and Adventureland customers, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in food preparation and hospitality to run our cafe.

Duties

  • Plan, organise, and supervise catering services for childrens parties and Adventureland customers.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and presentation standards are met.
  • Manage daily kitchen operations, including food safety compliance and inventory control.
  • Develop menus ensuring variety and dietary requirements are accommodated.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to within the kitchen environment.
  • Maintain excellent customer relations by addressing client needs promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor financial aspects such as budgeting, pricing, and cost control to optimise profitability.

Experience

  • Proven supervisory experience in a catering environment.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices. Experience serving a variety of clientele in high-pressure environments is advantageous.
  • Previous barista or hospitality experience will be considered beneficial but not essential.

Job Type: Part-time
