Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Café Staff to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, preparing a variety of food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food service, barista techniques, and customer engagement within a friendly setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Assist customers with menu selections, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle cash transactions using the till system with basic maths skills.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and food preparation zones.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts.
  • Support food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous barista experience or background in serving food and beverages is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform basic maths accurately for cash handling purposes.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities.
