Fosters Event Catering is looking to grow our kitchen team at our busy cafe in Haldon Forest Park as we prepare for a busy summer season.

We’re looking for reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic people to join us in a predominantly back-of-house role, supporting our kitchen team and helping us deliver great food to the thousands of visitors enjoying the forest. While your focus will be in the kitchen, there may be opportunities to assist front of house during busy periods.

Whether you have previous kitchen experience or are looking to start a career in hospitality, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Casual Kitchen Team Member, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly, supporting food preparation, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and helping the team deliver excellent service during busy trading periods.

Please note: shifts are daytime only, typically between 08:00 and 17:00.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the kitchen team with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
  • Washing up and carrying out kitchen porter duties
  • Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and fully stocked
  • Assisting with deliveries and stock rotation
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety
  • Supporting the wider café team during busy service periods when required

What We’re Looking For

  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Previous kitchen, catering or hospitality experience is an advantage but not essential
  • Someone who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, flexible and able to work weekends and school holidays
  • Willingness to learn and get stuck in wherever needed
  • A commitment to maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety standards
