Kitchen Assistant (Full-Time – Part-Time Considered)

Job Type: Permanent or Part-time

Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm, 5 days per week (including weekends on a rota basis)

Part-time applications will also be considered for the right candidate.

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team in a busy café. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised kitchen.

Working alongside our kitchen team, you'll play an important role in supporting food preparation and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic food preparation.
  • Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
  • Support the chef and kitchen team during busy service.
  • Receive, check and store deliveries.
  • Follow all food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
  • Help keep stock rooms and work areas clean and organised.

What We're Looking For

  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
  • Able to work well as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Previous kitchen or catering experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position: 8:30am – 4:30pm.
  • 5 days per week.
  • Weekend shifts required on a rota basis.
  • Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.
