Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to join our busy bakery team in Bilsborrow, near Garstang.

We are an established bakery producing a range of breads, cakes and other baked goods for our own shop, as well as supplying farm shops, restaurants, cafés and other eateries throughout the region.

The Role

Working as part of our bakery team, your duties will include:

- Baking and finishing our range of bakery products
- Preparing products ready for sale and distribution
- Sealing, bagging and packing finished products
- Maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Keeping bakery and production areas clean and organised
- Working alongside the rest of the team to ensure daily orders are completed on time

Hours & Working Pattern

This is a full-time position working 5 days per week, approximately 42–45 hours per week.

During your initial training period, your working days will be Monday to Friday.

Once fully trained, you will continue to work 5 days per week, with the rota including approximately one Sunday in every three.

There may also be opportunities for additional overtime, particularly when covering holidays and busy periods.

Experience

Previous bakery experience is not essential.

Full training will be provided, so we are equally interested in applicants who have the right attitude and would like to learn a new trade.

We're looking for someone who is:

- Reliable and punctual
- Hard-working and willing to learn
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Happy with a hands-on, physical role
- Able to maintain good standards of cleanliness and food hygiene

Previous experience in a bakery, kitchen, food production or catering environment would be an advantage, but is not required.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
