Full job description

At Fosse Way School, you’ll step into a vibrant, joyful and deeply rewarding environment where no two days are ever the same. Our students, aged 3 to 19, bring with them an incredible diversity of strengths, personalities and needs and they will inspire you, challenge you and make you proud every single day.

If you’re energetic, enthusiastic and caring, and you have a genuine passion for supporting young people to grow in confidence and independence, you’ll thrive here. Our work has a powerful purpose: helping our students prepare for adulthood, celebrate their achievements and discover what they can do.

Joining us means joining a team that believes in every child, values every moment and celebrates every step forward.

We are seeking to appoint a Café/Catering Assistant to work at Longfellow’s Café based at Fosse Way School, a generic special school for children aged 4-19, within The Partnership Trust.

16 hours per week plus 5 insets

Monday, Thursday and Friday – 12.00 – 3.00pm

Wednesday – 8.00 – 3.30pm

Term Time only

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic person to join our team. The ideal candidate must be committed to providing excellent customer service and be able to work under pressure. Main duties will include preparing and serving drinks and food, cash handling, cleaning (wash up), and assisting with training of students. Previous café experience would be preferred, but full training will be provided.

We warmly encourage visits to our school so you can see for yourself all that we can offer. Please contact the school office to arrange a convenient time.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.

Please note: The salary indicated is based on a pay scale. New appointments are normally made at the bottom of the scale. Progression through the scale is dependent on length of service in line with our pay policy

All applications should be made via MyNewTerm
