Front of House Assistant – Full Time

Do you enjoy working with people and providing excellent customer service? We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Front of House Assistant to join our restaurant team at Caulders Garden Centre, Merryhatton.

As part of our restaurant team, you'll play an important role in creating a warm and welcoming experience for every customer, whether they're popping in for a coffee, breakfast or lunch.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Welcoming customers with a friendly smile.
  • Taking food and drink orders efficiently.
  • Preparing and serving a range of teas, coffees and other drinks.
  • Serving freshly prepared food to our customers.
  • Processing customer payments.
  • Keeping the restaurant clean, tidy and well presented.
  • Working closely with the kitchen and front of house team to deliver excellent service.
  • Helping create a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience for every guest.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous front of house, hospitality or customer service experience is preferred.
  • A friendly, positive and approachable attitude.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and work in a busy environment.
  • Flexibility to work daytime shifts during the week, as well as weekends, is essential.

Hours: Full Time – 32–40 hours per week, typically over 4–5 days, including regular weekday and weekend working.

Pay: National Minimum Wage (depending on age and experience).
