Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive General Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support across various tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our family run cafe. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Opportunities exist for progression within the business for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily cafe operations - serving customers, making coffees, clearing and wiping tables, washing dishes etc
  • Perform general duties whilst maintaining a clean working environment
  • Serve customers with professionalism, demonstrating excellent customer service at all times
  • Support management including observing when stock is low on any items, dealing with customer complaints, and organising work spaces efficiently
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner

Skills

  • Proficiency in Barista coffee machine use is an advantage but not essential
  • Strong customer service skills skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational abilities to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with allergens and food safety
  • Good communication skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
