We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our Kitchen Team and support our Head Cook in delivering nutritious, delicious and well-presented meals for our residents.

Working alongside our Head Cook, you will use your excellent communication skills, follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a busy Kitchen Team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and serving meals at the scheduled times throughout the day.
• Supporting the Head Cook and wider Kitchen Team with the preparation of meals and refreshments.
• Assisting with baking fresh goods such as cookies, biscuits, cupcakes and other treats for our residents to enjoy.
• Ensuring all allergies, intolerances and specific dietary requirements are understood and followed carefully.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
• Following the kitchen cleaning schedule and ensuring equipment, fridges and freezers are cleaned regularly.
• Assisting with stock rotation and ensuring food is stored safely and appropriately.
• Following all food safety, health and safety procedures and relevant legislation.
• Following the policies and procedures of the Home at all times.
• Working as part of the wider care team to ensure our residents receive a positive dining experience.
• Treating our residents with dignity, kindness and respect at all times.
