Full job description

Happy Littles Play is a Play Cafe in Mallusk, Newtownabbey. Our focus is on providing a fun, engaging, and safe environment for families, blending the fun of play with food and coffee. The cafe features soft play activities, role play activities and a play space for little ones (0-1). We aim to create a friendly, welcoming space for parents to relax and kids to have fun.

What You'll Do:

As a team member, you will be an essential part of our family-friendly environment. Your duties will include:

  • Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
  • Overseeing and ensuring the safety of the play areas.
  • Serving and preparing food and beverages in the cafe area.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the work place.
  • Assisting in the organisation of events and birthday parties.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and restock as needed
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all visitors.
  • Clean and reset the play area and cafe at the end of the day upon closing

What You'll Need

  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
  • A friendly, lively, and approachable personality.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety and hygiene practices; formal experience is a bonus.
  • Experience in a cafe, restaurant, or as a barista is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Flexibility to work in various roles within the Play Cafe.
