Full job description

Twelve Triangles is looking for an experienced cook to join our prep kitchen team.

This is a production kitchen role, not a service position. You’ll be working behind the scenes producing food for our bakeries and cafés across Edinburgh. The kitchen is busy, varied and highly organised, with a strong focus on seasonality and quality ingredients.

This is a full time role, including weekdays and weekends. Typically 7am until around 3pm.

You’ll be part of a small team of six, producing a wide range of food daily. The work is hands-on and varied, including:

  • Sandwich and savoury prep
  • Soups and seasonal specials
  • Ferments (including kimchi)
  • Baking and traybakes
  • Jams and preserves
  • Retail products such as granola and croissant biscotti

We share our production space with Pala (our Roman-style pizza project), so there may also be opportunities to support pizza prep and dough production.

This is steady, focused kitchen work. You’ll need to work efficiently, stay organised and maintain consistent standards.

About You

  • Previous kitchen experience (essential)
  • Organised and clean in your work
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Comfortable working both as part of a team and independently
  • A genuine interest in food, seasonality and ingredient quality
  • Reliable and calm under pressure

This is a varied role within an established independent business, suited to someone who enjoys production cooking and working within a small, dedicated team.

Please apply with your CV and a short covering note outlining your experience.

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Benefits:

  • Discounted or free food
  • Employee discount
