Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Café Manager to oversee daily operations within a bustling hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service standards, managing staff, and maintaining the overall efficiency of the café. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for food, beverage service, and team leadership to contribute to a vibrant customer experience.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily café operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet safety and quality standards
  • Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and provide training to optimise team performance
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock control efficiently
  • Foster a welcoming environment for customers by providing excellent hospitality and service
  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance satisfaction
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food production and presentation
  • Maintain health and safety protocols throughout the premises

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
  • Strong supervisory and team management skills with previous restaurant or hospitality experience
  • Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
  • Sound knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
  • Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment such as cafés, restaurants or hotels
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Familiarity with barista techniques is desirable.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly whilst maintaining high standards of service
  • Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
